Group Magazine Advert

How did your group share your ideas and designs around?
Before creating our group advert, we evaluated each group members individual designs. This was effective as we was able to look at the elements that was conventional to the pop music genre and use them within our group magazine advert. Within each of our designs we purposely tried to include elements of our music video such as iconography in order to show a correlation between the main product and ancillary texts.

Through looking at Jagoda's individual magazine advert, I realized the effectiveness of the fire in terms of it catching the audiences attention. Therefore as a group this is something we felt should be used within our group magazine advert as it makes the text stand out from a unique perspective and therefore it is different from other adverts. The magazine advert consists of conventions of a pop music genre as it included a mid shot out our artist. This appeals to our audience as the camera shot reveals micro elements such as clothing in which the artist is wearing casual clothing. This attracts our targeted audience as they are able to build a relationship with him as they can relate to him. This is something that has been considered through all of our work. I thing the advert could be improved through using different images of the artist. Through previous research into magazine adverts, I found that it was conventional for the artist to be facing the camera in order for the audience to see the artists facial expressions. Therefore the image used I feel prevents the audience from building up a relationship with the artist as they are in someways restricted.
